    Developing and Implementing a Governance Program in a Complex Environment

    Abstract

    Developing and implementing an information governance program in a large-scale environment is a long-term challenge, not a one-time event. It requires long-term goals and planning, and a steady foot on the accelerator. This session will take a close look at the process, and walk through a case study of a successful implementation. Attendees will get a good look at how a successful program was designed and implemented.

    Biography

    John Montana, J.D., FIIM, FAI, is Vice President of Advisory Services at Montana & Associates, an Access Company. His work includes analysis and advice on a wide variety of governance, compliance and management issues, including records retention scheduling, regulatory compliance, litigation and discovery, risk mitigation and other matters of information governance and management. He is recognized as one of the foremost information governance experts in the country.

    Mr. Montana has published four books on information governance, and numerous whitepapers, articles for professional journals and other publications.
