STANDING COMMITTEES
Standing committees are permanent groups formed to do their assigned work on an ongoing basis.
ARCHIVES AND LIBRARY COMMITTEE
This committee is managed by the Secretary and will:
- maintain and dispose of Chapter records according to the Chapter retention schedule; and
-
maintain, advertise, circulate, and retrieve materials from the Chapter library.
COMMUNICATIONS COMMITTEE
This committee is managed by the President and will:
- distribute event invitations via the Chapter’s event registration system;
- maintain the Chapter’s web site; and
-
maintain the Chapter’s social media presence.
EDUCATION COMMITTEE
This committee is managed by the Director of Education and will:
- offer one free and one paid education event each year; and
-
offer professional exam preparation resources and/or courses.
HOSPITALITY COMMITTEE
This committee is managed by the Director of Membership and will:
- manage registration at Chapter events;
- welcome guests at Chapter events; and
-
distribute welcome packets to new members.
AD HOC COMMITTEES
Ad hoc committees are formed for a specific task or objective and are dissolved after the completion of the task or achievement of the objective.
AUDIT COMMITTEE
This committee is managed by the President and will:
-
carry out audits as defined in Article VI, Section 4 of the Chapter bylaws.
AWARDS COMMITTEE
This committee is managed by the Board Chair and will:
- consist of a minimum of three Chapter members; and
-
select those Chapter members who warrant special recognition and awards.
NOMINATIONS AND ELECTIONS COMMITTEE
This committee is managed by the Board Chair and will:
- consist of at least three Chapter members;
- create a nominating slate for Board elections as defined in Article IV, Section 3 of the Chapter bylaws; and
- carry out elections as defined in Article IV, Section 4 of the Chapter bylaws.
